Twitter Updates and Launches New Features for iOS Users

Twitter has a new sharing option for iOS users
Social media giant Twitter has exciting news for iOS users

Twitter rolled out a new upgrade for iOS users that will enable them to share their tweets directly to Instagram stories providing another way to interact with the audience.

How to use the new feature?

By tapping this option when you share a tweet, Instagram Stories will highlight your choice and include it in a blank frame from Instagram Camera, which you can then edit with your image or video or with the editing tools available in the app.

Also, It would help to boost interest in the platform by allowing people to share tweets at more locations, as well as re-distribute tweets a common way since many people were already doing so through screenshots

A reverse engineering expert, points out that Instagram Stories’ shares of tweets are not tappable, so you can’t really direct traffic back to your tweet from these shares.

While it seems like a missed opportunity, it still gives people an integrated and direct way to re-share content from their tweets, which will save time and allow for more engagement (as Instagram does not provide links from other platforms in Stories so it may have been missed, as well).

What has to Instagram in store in the next phase?

Following this, Instagram will be allowed to integrate with Twitter natively, which would allow you to re-share entire IG posts via Twitter, instead of only providing a link to the original.

Twitter hasn’t been directly integrated with Instagram since Twitter card previews were disabled in 2012, which makes it difficult to share content between the two apps.
In the present case, perhaps the two apps will be able to make even better connections and bring Instagram into the fold seamlessly and in line with

Facebook posts.

At least not publicly, the announcement hasn’t been made, but we did catch a glimmer of hope earlier this year when Instagram’s Adam Mosseri and Twitter’s Kayvon Beykpour expressed at least some interest.
However, right now, Stories are the only mode of operation. However, now if you want to reuse any of your tweets, you don’t have to screenshot or reformat them.
