According to Google’s, this product review update will promote review content that goes far beyond many of the templated reviews you see online.
These product reviews will be promoted in Google’s search result rankings.
Although they don’t directly penalize lower quality product reviews that have “thin content that simply summarizes much of the product line,” it will certainly feel like a penalty if your ranking is degraded because other pieces of content are promoted above yours.
Ultimately, though, Google’s does not consider this a penalty against your content, they are just rewarding blogs with more insightful reviews with higher rankings than yours.
Not the other types of content but only product review content.
